Assignment:

Choose a topic related to Roman history or Roman life in which you are interested or pick some topic

you want to explore in more depth than we have in class. DO NOT CHOOSE A TOPIC RELATED TO

MYTHOLOGY (We will cover that second semester!)

Create a visual that is a vehicle for enhancing the presentation of your project. 

  Possible visuals might include:

    travel brochure

      model

     magazine

     newspaper

     exhibition

     map

     letters

     mini book

     costume

POSTERS ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE AS A VISUALCOMPUTER  PHOTO  PRINTS OR VERBATIM

INFO FROM THE INTERNET IS NOT ACCEPTABLE

 

       Give a 3-7 minute oral presentation to the class in which you share your project idea and the new or in-depth material you have learned.

      Any visual that requires a written report (such as a magazine, newspaper, letters) that accompanies your project, should be clearly stated with well-developed, well-organized ideas.

      Some class time (40 minutes for 3 days) will be given to develop this project idea and do research.

Criteria for Grading:

1.    new or in-depth information of Roman history or life evident

2.   effective oral presentation

3.   neat, eye catching visual related to the topic

4.   If your visual is written,, (E.G. a newspaper, brochure or letters), it must have well-developed      and organized ideas which are clearly presented)

5.  unique or creative approach to topic or presentation
